Things I've been Obsessed with in February 2016!

1. Using mason jars

I know, I know, mason jars have been "popular" for the past few years already, but I've been so obsessed with storing my food in mason jars and carrying it around since I don't have a lot of time to eat at home. I've tried making overnight oats in them a few times and although I failed horrendously the first time, it's been pretty successful and easy to do since then! What I really like about my mason jar lids is that it has a hole for you to put your straw through so I can easily bring my smoothies around! I just have to be a bit careful when I bring other foods around or else I'll spill some in my bag! (oops. guilty)

2. Adult coloring books

College is a lot of work sometimes, but adult coloring books are the perfect way to de-stress. My friend first introduced these to me over winter break, and I'm hooked! These books are so much fun and the drawings are really intricate and beautiful. It's a great way to get your mind off of that midterm or project coming up. The current book I'm going through is the Animal Kingdom by Millie Marotta. The best thing is that you don't have to drop major bucks to buy these books and coloring pencils (Crayola will do just fine), so let your creativity soar!

3. Waking up early

Okay, I'll be honest, this was the biggest challenge yet. As a college student, I don't get enough sleep already. This month, I've been challenging myself to get up an hour earlier than normal (which is 6 AM on some days!) so I can be more productive. Whether that means I go to the gym or I get some extra work done, I have to say, this extra hour makes a HUGE difference. When I work out first thing in the morning, it makes my entire day better because I feel so much more energized. I find that when I stay up too late working, the quality of my work isn't that great anyways. By being awake earlier, I can focus better since there's fewer distractions around.
